Council Compensation and Benefits

City Council members are compensated for attending a certain number of meetings per year, as identified in the approved budget. Amounts paid per meeting are as follows:

Mayor $545.45
Council $409.09

Reimbursements for cell phone, electronic device, and data use are also available to Council if they choose to receive any or all of them, and the amounts are as follows:

Health insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, life) are available to Council if they choose to receive any or all of them. The City pays for 75% of the premium cost for Council members but does not pay for dependents. Council members are responsible for 100% of any dependent coverage.
