Transparency Star for Traditional Finances
In February 2017, the Finance Department was awarded the Texas Comptroller's Transparency Star for Traditional Finances for financial transparency. This is the first year that Shenandoah has achieved the highest level of recognition. The Transparency Star program has replaced the Leadership Circle award program in which the city received a platinum rating for two consecutive years. The Transparency Star award recognizes cities that strive to meet a high standard of financial transparency online.
