Recognized Law Enforcement Agency
In 2007, the Shenandoah Police Department became the first CALEA Accredited Law Enforcement Agency in Montgomery County. In 2009, the Shenandoah Police Department became the 12th TPCA Recognized Law Enforcement Agency and the first municipal law enforcement agency in Texas to be both CALEA Accredited and TPCA Recognized. Currently, The Shenandoah Police Department is a TPCA Foundation Recognized Law Enforcement Agency and a leader in modern professional law enforcement practices. In 2021, the Shenandoah Police Department received its fourth TPCA Re-recognition.
