The City approves an investment policy that is in compliance with the Public Funds Investment Act of 1987 every year. The city allows investments in money market accounts, certificates of deposits, and investment pools. The finance director is required to provide a quarterly investment report to Council.
The following reports disclose beginning and ending cash amounts for the quarter as well as all interest earned for the City's cash holdings at Allegiance Bank and Texpool Investment Pool.
In 2016 the City converted to a pooled cash accounting with all funds held at Allegiance Bank except for the Municipal Development District bank account.
