ITEM 4: Mobility Project Update- City Engineer John Bleyl, Bleyl Engineering, presented an update on ongoing mobility projects. Projects discussed included: the intersection of Tamina Road/Research Forest and I45, Home Depot driveway, Research Forest right turn lane;, and the David Memorial extension. Presentation and discussion only.
ITEM 5: Home Depot Driveway Design - MDD funded the studies and the planning portion of the Home Depot driveway as well as an eastbound turn lane to I45 service road. Staff requested funds for the design portion of the project at this time. The two projects are being combined for potential cost savings. MDD funding is from the 2017-2018 Tamina Road and Research Forest project. MDD approved funding for the projects’ design by a vote of 5-0.
ITEM 6: Pinecroft Waterline Project Change Order - During construction of the Pinecroft waterline, staff discovered that a section of waterline that crosses underneath Pinecroft is Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP). The change order is for replacement of the ACP pipe with PVC, at an overall price change of $20,990.25, for an increase of 9% to the project. MDD voted 5-0 to approve the change order.
ITEM 7: Minutes of the October 30 and November 13 Meetings: MDD voted 5-0 to approve both minutes.
ITEM 8: Ratification of November and December 2019 Accounts Payable - MDD ratified the accounts payable by a vote of 5-0.
