Update on City Services

COVID header pic

This is an update of services as of this afternoon at 4 pm.  They may be subject to change.

Trash Collection Rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 17

Republic Services will have their side loading trash truck leaving their yards  at 10 am Wednesday to come collect in Shenandoah. If the roads are passable, they will have the rear- loading truck headed to Shenandoah at the same time. There will be no recycling collected;  trucks will collect trash/garbage only.   Republic Services is also experiencing staff difficulties in  arriving for work.  They will notify us tomorrow morning if any changes will be made.

Utility Bills and Late Fees

Utility  bills will not be subject to late fees this month due the inclement weather.

Warming Chamber

Council Chambers will again be a warming center starting at 4 pm today, Tuesday.  This is not a "staffed" warming center, but is rather an open city facility where residents may come to get out of the cold, fill water bottles if out of water,  warm up food in the microwave and charge electronics. You must bring any necessary chargers you will need. Residents needing a warm place to sleep are welcome to come but the facility does not have cots.  You will need to bring your bedding.
