ITEM  7Introduction of New Employees/Swearing In of New Officer-  City Administrator introduced our new civilian Code Enforcement Officer Stefanie Sadler who began her career in Cedar Park, Texas. Chief Troye Dunlap introduced SHPD Patrol Officer Kayvon Behravan, administered the oath of office and pinned him.  Behravan was a corrections officer in Aransas County before taking a training position in the Corpus Christi academy.  We welcome both to the staff. No Council action needed.

ITEM  8: Ordinance providing for Non-Licensed Peace Officer to serve as Code Enforcement Officer -  The proposed ordinance designates the position of Code Enforcement Officer as a non-licensed peace officer, provides for qualification, and grants powers and duties to the civilian code enforcement officer.   Council voted 5-0 to approve the ordinance.

ITEM 9:  Update on David Memorial Extension- City Engineer John Bleyl presented the project to the Conroe City Council.  Bleyl said the plans for the David Memorial intersection with Hwy 242 are about 90% complete.  He said that he hopes to be able to put the project out to bid in January 2022.  Funding continues to be an issue even though there seems to be support for the project from all areas. He will be meeting with the CIDC later to see if funding from that agency will be available.   No action required of Council

ITEM 10:  Minutes of the January 13 and January 27 Meetings-    Council voted 5-0 to approve the minutes of the meetings.
